Police have registered a case against 16 people in the case of murder of RSS volunteer Rameshwar Tiwari in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. In the case, Superintendent of Police Abhijeet R. Shankar has suspended four policemen including Lar police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar Singh. Other policemen suspended include sub-inspector Ram Murat and constables Chandrabhan and Pritam. After this action of the police, there is a situation of panic in the department.

The incident took place in Bhikham Chhapra village of Lar police station area. According to the information, Rameshwar Tiwari had a dispute with his Pattidars on Thursday evening regarding making breakers on the road built by PWD. As the dispute escalated, there was an altercation between both the parties. It is alleged that after this Rameshwar Tiwari was attacked with sticks.
Rameshwar Tiwari was seriously injured in the fight. The family members were taking him to the medical college for treatment, but on the way his condition deteriorated and he died. After receiving information about the incident, an atmosphere of tension was created in the village.
Case registered against 10 unknown people
After the death of Rameshwar Tiwari, on the complaint of his wife Amrita Devi, the police have registered a case against six named and 10 unidentified people. The police have started action against the accused and the matter is being investigated. As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police Abhijeet R. Shankar inspected the incident site at night itself. During this, the family members of the deceased accused the police of negligence. The family members said that if the police had taken the matter seriously in time, the situation would not have deteriorated so much.
Order to suspend constable
The SP assured the family of a fair investigation into the case and strict action against the culprits. The role of policemen was also examined during the investigation. After prima facie negligence came to light, the SP ordered suspension of Lar police station in-charge, a sub-inspector and two constables.
According to police officials, all aspects of the murder case are being investigated. The role of named and unknown accused will also be investigated. Police say that further legal action will be taken based on the facts emerging in the investigation.
