UP Election: Maya’s decision may prove to be a suicidal goal, expulsion of three leaders from Western UP may spoil BSP’s equation.

Lucknow : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati has made a major change in the party organization and expelled three senior leaders. The three leaders whom Mayawati has shown the way out include Dharamveer Ashok, Jaiprakash and Sarfaraz Rain. After this decision, the stir in the politics of Western Uttar Pradesh has intensified and a situation of dissatisfaction is also being seen within the party.

Dharamveer Ashok was associated with Kanshi Ram era in Western UP.

Prominent names among the expelled leaders are former ministers Dharamveer Ashok and Jayaprakash. Both the leaders are considered to have a strong political hold in western Uttar Pradesh. Due to his active role in the organization and connection with grassroots workers, he was considered a very influential leader. Dharamveer Ashok has been identified among the close associates of BSP founder Kanshi Ram. He has held organizational responsibilities for the party in many states for a long time. His sudden departure from the party is being considered as a big blow for BSP, especially in western UP.

Jayaprakash’s return and then expulsion, organizational dispute became the reason

Jayaprakash had returned to BSP some time ago. After his return, he played a role in strengthening the organization and tried to connect the youth. He was also given election responsibility in states like Kerala. But later action was taken against him due to organizational differences. According to sources, Jayaprakash was accused of interfering in the work of the organization in Western UP. It is being said that differences with a senior party official and workers’ displeasure over his working style also became a major reason for this decision.

Ticket distribution may be affected

In view of the upcoming assembly elections, BSP had already started the process of ticket distribution. In-charges have been appointed in many districts. Dharamveer Ashok, Jaiprakash and Sarfaraz Raine played an important role in ticket distribution. There is a possibility that the election strategy will be affected after his expulsion.

Fear of worsening electoral equation, blow to return campaign of old leaders

Considering the hold of these leaders in Western Uttar Pradesh, it is believed that their removal may weaken the party’s grassroots network. This can have a direct impact on the strategy and organizational strength of BSP in the upcoming elections. Recently, efforts were being made by BSP to reunite the old leaders. But after this big decision, this campaign has suffered a setback. Political experts believe that this step has been taken to maintain discipline and control within the party.
