UP Government Diwali Gift: Yogi Adityanath Approves Pay Scale Upgrade for 52 Officers

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has announced a Diwali bonanza for 52 government officers, approving their promotion to the selection-grade pay scale in a significant career-related decision ahead of the festival. The move covers officers from multiple batches serving across district administrations, development authorities, government institutions, universities and election-related offices.

The pay-scale upgradation raises their grade pay from Rs 6,600 to Rs 7,600, moving them from Pay Level 11 to Pay Level 12. The revised benefits will take effect from the respective dates on which the officers assumed charge of their present posts, in accordance with the government order.

The decision, taken following the recommendations of the Departmental Selection Committee, is significant for the officers concerned as it brings financial advancement and formal recognition of their service within the state administration.

What Does the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Promotion Order Say?

According to the order issued by Avanish Saxena, Special Secretary in the Appointment Section-3 of the Uttar Pradesh government, the 52 officers were selected for the higher pay scale following the prescribed departmental selection process.
