Lucknow. Yogi government has made many important announcements for Panchayat assistants in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to increase the honorarium of Panchayat assistants from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 per month. It is said that more than 57 thousand Panchayat assistants of the state will get benefit from this decision.
Increased honorarium will come directly into the account
According to the government, the increased honorarium of Panchayat assistants will be sent directly to the bank account through DBT. This will make the payment process more transparent and helpers will be able to get the amount on time.
Big decision regarding service security also
It has now been announced to give the benefit of service security to Panchayat assistants. Under the new provision, the village head or the Panchayat Secretary will not be able to decide on his own behalf to remove any Panchayat assistant. The decision of action or termination of service in any case will be taken at the level of the committee headed by the District Magistrate.
Cashless treatment and maternity leave
The announcements also include the facility of cashless treatment for Panchayat assistants. It has been decided to give maternity leave to Mahila Panchayat Assistants. This will provide relief to women employees during family responsibilities.
Relief on old cases also
The government has also announced withdrawal of cases registered against Panchayat assistants during the movement and reinstatement of the assistants who were removed due to the action. With these decisions, Panchayat assistants are expected to get relief in honorarium as well as many service related facilities.
