UP News: In the state function organized on the occasion of 80th Independence Day in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored the brave soldiers and their families who made supreme sacrifice to protect the country. In the program organized in front of the historic Vidhan Bhavan, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the families of the martyrs and said that the country will always remember the courage and sacrifice of these heroes.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posthumously honored Shanti Bisht, mother of martyr Lieutenant Hari Singh Bisht, who was awarded the Shaurya Chakra, and HS Mohindra, father of Shaurya Chakra awardee Lieutenant Colonel Amit Mohindra.
In the same sequence, Colonel Bharat Singh, who was awarded the Shaurya Chakra, and Rajeshwari Devi, the granddaughter-in-law of Martyr Naik Raja Singh, who was awarded the Veer Chakra, were also honoured. Through these honor ceremonies, gratitude was expressed to those families who lost their loved ones for the security of the country.

Families of soldiers martyred in different military operations also honored
in the program Operation Vijay Satya Prakash Sharma, father of martyr Major Ritesh Sharma, was honoured. Apart from this, the Chief Minister also honored Munni Lal, brother of NC Putali martyred in the plane crash, Havildar Omprakash Tripathi, father of martyred hero Arun Kumar Tripathi in Operation Rakshak and Prajesh Yadav, mother of Lieutenant Commander Rajnikant Yadav martyred in the naval operation.
Suman Devi, wife of martyr Rajveer Singh in Operation Pawan and Shama Devi, wife of martyr Signalman Harshvardhan Singh in Operation Rakshak, were also honoured.
Martyr families of Army and CRPF also got respect
Shakti Singh, wife of Havildar Pankaj Singh of Rajput Regiment, who was awarded the Sena Medal, and Pranjal Singh, elder brother of Lieutenant Colonel Major Prabhanshu Singh, who was awarded the Sena Medal, were also honored in the ceremony.
