UP News: Yogi government will prepare youth for business, not jobs, now youth center will be built in every district
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big step towards making the youth not job seekers but employment providing entrepreneurs. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has decided to expand the ‘Youth Adda’ initiative to all 75 districts of the state. The objective of the government is to motivate the youth for self-employment and employment generation by providing training, guidance and financial assistance for entrepreneurship.
‘Youth Adda’ will become a comprehensive platform for entrepreneurship
According to the government spokesperson, ‘Youth Adda’, operated under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, is being developed as a comprehensive entrepreneurship platform.
Through this platform, youth will be provided facilities like generating business ideas, making project reports, obtaining bank loans, enterprise registration, digital marketing, e-commerce and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs.
Special focus will be on students and rural youth
According to the government, the main goal of this initiative is to motivate students of universities, colleges, polytechnics and industrial training institutes (ITIs) towards entrepreneurship.
Apart from this, special attention will be given to connecting rural youth and women self-help groups with this campaign. There is also a plan to strengthen the rural economy by providing support in packaging, branding and marketing of local products.
Big goals set by 2027
The government has set several important targets under this initiative by 2027, which include—
- Connecting 5 lakh youth with ‘Youth Adda’.
- Providing loan facility of more than ₹1,000 crore.
- Setting up over 10,000 new enterprises and franchises.
- Empowering over 25,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
UPCON will play an important role
According to the government spokesperson, Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Limited (UPCON) will play an important role in the implementation of this scheme.
UPCON Managing Director Praveen Singh said that the organization will work on training, project consultancy, banking assistance, digital empowerment and connecting the youth with the industry. He says that the objective of this initiative is to create more and more successful entrepreneurs and to give impetus to the economy of the state.
