The final match of Uttar Pradesh T20 League 2026 is to be played today (6 September). The teams of Meerut Mavericks and Lucknow Falcons will face each other for the trophy at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Meerut Mavericks is captained by Rinku Singh, while Lucknow Falcons is captained by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Meerut Mavericks team is going to play the final for the fourth consecutive time. It has made it to the finals in all the editions of the UP T20 League but has become champion only once. On the other hand, Lucknow Falcons have reached the title match for the first time. The spinners of Meerut Mavericks are bowling amazingly, while the pacers of Lucknow Falcons are wreaking havoc. Apart from the clash between the two teams for the trophy in the final, there will also be an interesting battle for the Purple Cap.

Meerut Mavericks spinner Zeeshan Ansari is on top in terms of taking most wickets in the current season of UP T20 League. Leg spinner Zeeshan, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has taken 23 wickets in just 9 innings. After him, Lucknow Falcons fast bowler Abhinandan Singh is at second place.
Abhinandan, who was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2026, has taken 21 wickets in 10 innings. He would like to overtake Zeeshan in the final. Although their path is a bit difficult. If Meerut Mavericks team bowls first and Zeeshan takes even 1 wicket, then Abhinandan will have to take 4 wickets to defeat him.
