Monsoon is now ready to arrive in its full form in Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there will be a tremendous increase in the speed and intensity of rain in the state on July 19. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there will be heavy rain with thunder in many areas of Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh, which may affect normal life.
How will the weather be on 19th July?
According to the Meteorological Department, the most aggressive form of monsoon will be seen in eastern Uttar Pradesh on July 19. There is a high possibility of torrential rain in almost all parts of the division. Considering the seriousness of the situation, ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for many districts. At the same time, monsoon will also be fully active in western Uttar Pradesh, where there are chances of isolated heavy rains along with thunderstorms. There is a danger of thunder and lightning in the entire state, due to which the administration has asked to remain alert.
Districts on ‘red alert’ for heavy rain and lightning
According to the Meteorological Department bulletin, from 08:30 am on July 19 to 08:30 am on July 20, there is a possibility of heavy to extremely heavy rain in districts like Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and Balrampur.
Apart from this, heavy rainfall is also expected in the surrounding areas of Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Gonda, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal and Badaun. At the same time, in view of the possibility of lightning falling in a large part of the state, people have been advised to stay in safe places. This includes many other districts including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Rae Bareli and Amethi.
Possible disadvantages and prevention methods
Farmers and the general public may have to face some challenges due to heavy rains. Waterlogging in low-lying areas and roads may disrupt traffic, while kutcha houses and old buildings are at risk of damage. Apart from this, crops like paddy, maize and sugarcane may suffer losses due to waterlogging.
In such a situation, if the weather gets bad, immediately take shelter in permanent and safe houses. Do not stand under trees during lightning and keep electrical appliances unplugged. Farmer brothers should make proper arrangements for drainage of excess water in their fields from now on.
