UPPSC Mains Result 2026 Out: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has declared the result of the most prestigious administrative service of the state i.e. Combined State and Senior Subordinate Services Main Examination. After this big decision, the wait of thousands of youth who were waiting for their results for a long time is over. According to the official information released by the Commission, a total of 2297 candidates have been successful in the main examination. Now all these successful candidates will have to participate in the interview process for final selection. The Commission has posted the result on its official website as well as on the notice board of the office.
Thousands of candidates had given the written examination
The written main examination of this recruitment process was organized between March 29 and April 1 this year. This important examination was conducted amidst tight security arrangements at different examination centers in Prayagraj and the capital Lucknow. A total of 10284 candidates had come to try their luck in this difficult examination. After evaluating the answer sheets of all these candidates, the Commission has now prepared the list of successful candidates on the basis of merit. Out of these, only 2297 candidates could be selected to meet the criteria of the next stage.
Complete mathematics of posts and interview plan
A total of 28 types of 814 posts are to be filled through this entire recruitment drive. Commission Secretary Girijesh Kumar Tyagi said that out of these total 814 posts, there are two posts which are to be selected entirely on the basis of written examination only. The final result of these two posts will be declared after the entire process is over. Appointment to the remaining 812 posts will be done by combining the marks of the interview with the main written examination. For this reason, against these 812 posts, the Commission has shortlisted 2297 candidates for the interview round.
Final position depends on court decisions
Along with the result, the Commission has also made this important thing clear that this entire result will remain subject to the final judicial decision of a writ petition pending in the Allahabad High Court. Apart from this, the result of women candidates will also be decided on the basis of the final decision of the High Court in the case related to the special appeal filed by the Uttar Pradesh Government. By making this clear, the Commission has clearly laid out the legal aspects so that there is no further doubt.
Separate information will come soon for interview
Now questions are arising in the minds of the candidates who have passed the main examination regarding the dates and process of the interview. The Secretary of the Commission has clarified that the complete detailed release related to selection of posts and interview for the successful declared candidates will be issued separately very soon. In it, dates of interview, verification of necessary certificates and other necessary guidelines will be given. Candidates should keep an eye on the Commission's portal regularly.
Will have to wait for marks and cutoff
Many candidates are curious to know their marks and cutoff. The Commission has made its position clear on this. The Commission says that the marks of successful and unsuccessful candidates, category wise cutoff marks and other important information will be made public only after the release of the final selection results. Along with this, the Commission has also made it clear that no application will be accepted under the Right to Information Act to know the marks or cutoff before the final result. Therefore, now the candidates will have to concentrate only on their final stage preparation.
