Upset Swiggy Delivery Agent Conducts Mock Funeral For Unreliable Ola Electric Scooter [Video]

Ola Electric scooters and the issues faced by customers using the scooters are something that is widely discussed on the internet. We have come across multiple videos and incidents online where customers, fed up with the overall quality of the scooters, have approached the courts and dealerships. Here, we have a video of an upset Swiggy delivery partner who is actually fed up with his unreliable Ola Electric scooter and is protesting on the road by performing funeral rituals for the scooter.

The video has been shared by Raushan on his X profile, but the same video has been posted on multiple social media platforms. In the video, we see an Ola Electric scooter owner from Kerala who had bought the electric scooter for work.

He actually bought the electric scooter because he was working as a delivery partner with online food-ordering apps like Swiggy. He mentions that since he bought the scooter, he has been facing issues. Many delivery agents have switched to EVs because they have a much lower running cost compared to petrol bikes and scooters. The young man seen in the video had bought the electric scooter with high hopes, but soon after buying the scooter, he started facing issues.

The owner doesn’t explain the issue completely in this video. He mentions that the scooter isn’t starting, and because of this issue, he has not been able to work for the last seven days. He has been protesting on the highway with a banner and his scooter to get his issue resolved. He mentions that the dealership has been of no use and that they are not ready to take responsibility and fix the issue. He even claims that they are not ready to take his scooter in for inspection and are asking him to go to a different service centre. He mentioned that he has been paying an EMI of around Rs 3,600 on a scooter that is not working at all.

He mentions in the video that he has approached the company and even the consumer court but has not received any solution. He also added that this is not an isolated incident and that there are hundreds and thousands of customers in Kerala who are actually facing issues with Ola scooters. Many of the scooters left by owners for repairs are reportedly rotting in the stockyards of dealers.

In many cases, the dealership either doesn’t have the expertise or the parts required to fix the issue. We have seen videos in the past where customers have not received their scooters back even after months. Some of them have even reported that dealers are stealing parts from their scooters and using them to fix issues on other scooters due to a lack of parts.

Fed up with the poor product and service, the young Swiggy delivery agent decided to protest in public, and he is seen mocking the company by performing funeral-like rituals for the scooter. He mentions that the scooter is dead, which is the reason why he is performing the rituals. We really hope Ola Electric comes across this issue and works on fixing the scooter seen in the video, as well as the other scooters that are left to rot at dealerships across the nation.
