Uttar Pradesh Startup Ecosystem Event 2026 will be organized at Lok Bhawan on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Startups, incubators and various stakeholders related to the ecosystem will participate in this program organized by the Yogi government with the aim of encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in the state and strengthening the startup ecosystem. Before this program, CM Yogi said that by giving opportunities to the ideas of youth, encouraging innovation and giving strength to startups, Uttar Pradesh is today giving impetus to the new culture of changing from 'job seeker' to 'job creator'.
Incentive amount of Rs 1.79 crore
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted on the social media platform 'X', “By giving opportunity to the ideas of youth, encouraging innovation and giving strength to startups, Uttar Pradesh is today giving impetus to the new culture of becoming 'job creator' from 'job seeker'. Today in Lucknow, under the Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy, incentive amount of more than Rs 3.42 crore will be distributed to 107 startups and Rs 1.79 crore will be distributed to 9 incubators.”
Launch of Startup Mission Portal
Besides, Chief Minister Yogi said that 'Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy-2026' booklet will be released and Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission portal will also be launched. He said in the 'X' post that new ideas from new enterprises and new enterprises from new employment, this is the new identity of 'New Uttar Pradesh'.
The program will begin with the welcome address by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics Department and special address by departmental minister Sunil Kumar Sharma. Chief Minister Yogi's keynote address is also proposed. Recognized incubators of the startup ecosystem of the state, members of various committees, representatives of Center of Excellence and representatives of SIDBI will also be present in the program.
expanded institutional arrangements
To promote startups and innovation in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi government has expanded new incentives and institutional arrangements with Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy-2026. In the year 2017, only 120 startups were registered in the state, whereas now the number of startups verified by DPIT has increased to 24,243 and the number of incubators has increased to 88.
Under the new policy, startups will get subsistence allowance of Rs 20 thousand per month, prototype grant up to Rs 10 lakh and seed grant up to Rs 15 lakh. There is also a provision of matching grant up to Rs 5 crore as per investment and 4 percent interest subvention on loan up to Rs 2 crore. Long-term capital up to Rs 40 crore has been provided for deep-tech startups. Deep-tech U-Hubs will be established in Lucknow and Noida.
