According to IMD, yellow alert has been issued in Delhi on 25 April. There is a possibility of heat wave in many areas during the day. Wind speed may range from 15 to 25 km/h, while some gusts may reach up to 35 km/h. The effect of heat will be clearly visible in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh also.

In the coming days, similar intense heat is likely to occur in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. However, light rain is expected from April 26, which may provide some relief. At present the temperature in Delhi has reached 45 degrees Celsius, which is a matter of concern.
