Film Maker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao Passes Away: Sad news has come out from the South Film Industry. Actually, veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao passed away. He was suffering from age related illness for a long time. He was admitted to Cauvery Hospital in Chennai for treatment. After which he breathed his last in the hospital on Saturday at the age of 95. After the news of his demise, there was a wave of mourning in the film industry. After his departure everyone is sad and are paying tribute to him. Not only this, many celebs from South including Kamal Haasan and Junior NTR have paid tribute to him and expressed deep grief over his demise.
Directed his last film at the age of 94
Singeetam had directed about 60 films in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and English including 'Pushpaka Vimanam' and 'Aditya 369'. He has been awarded many honors including two National Film Awards. He directed his last film 'Sing Geetham' last year at the age of 94. However, this film was released in theaters on 12 June 2026. Let us tell you that Singeetham Srinivas was known for making out-of-the-box films. On his death, people from the industry have paid tribute to him, remembering his rich legacy of six decades.

Kamal Haasan shared a special note on the demise of Singeetam
Kamal Haasan shared a special note on Instagram on his demise. He described himself as a disciple of Singitam. He wrote, 'Singeetam Garu willingly said goodbye to the world along with his youth. His youth could not reach many people. But this quality reached more people, with this same desire I am one of the friends with whom he held hands and the disciples whom he taught. '
Further he wrote, 'It is not necessary that passing away at a young age is a tragic event. It may even be wonderful. Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is a great example of this. I have admired him ever since I have known him. Now I also wish to live my life like him.

Junior NTR paid tribute
Junior NTR expressed grief over the demise of Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and praised his films. He tweeted and wrote, 'The news of the demise of Singeetam Srinivas Rao Garu is very sad.
