Veterans Football Tournament 2026 to Support HIV-Positive Children
Bengaluru, June 18: The Bangalore Sports Lovers Association (BSLA) will organise the Veterans Football Tournament 2026 on July 5, 2026bringing together football enthusiasts aged 40 and above for a sporting event that combines competition with a social cause.
The tournament, themed “Let’s Play for a Cause”aims to raise funds for the welfare of HIV-positive children while promoting fitness, camaraderie, and active lifestyles among veteran footballers.
Football for a Social Cause
The organisers said the tournament is more than just a sporting competition, as it seeks to make a meaningful contribution to society through sports. The initiative will support programmes and welfare activities for HIV-positive children, encouraging participants to play for a larger purpose.
The event is expected to attract veteran football players from across Bengaluru and surrounding regions who share a passion for the game and a commitment to community service.
Tournament Details
The competition will be conducted in a 5-a-side football formatwith each team allowed a maximum of three substitute players.
The tournament will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026from 10:00 am onwards at VeloCT, Bengaluru.
Teams interested in participating can register by paying an entry fee of ₹4,000 per team.
Attractive Prizes for Winners
Organisers have announced a total cash prize of ₹24,000 for the tournament. In addition to cash awards, winners and participants will receive trophies, medals, certificates of social contribution, and various spot prizes.
The event is expected to offer a competitive yet friendly atmosphere, allowing veteran players to relive their footballing days while supporting a worthy cause.
