Banaskantha. A case of serious allegations of religious conversion and rape has come to light from Banaskantha district of Gujarat. A married woman has filed a complaint against four people. The woman has made serious allegations of forced physical relations, assault, threats and blackmailing despite being pregnant. On the basis of the complaint, the police has arrested an accused and sent him to jail.

This is the case of Pegia village of Dhanera taluka of the district. The victim alleges that accused Akhtarsha Fakir first had relations with her and later got her converted to religion. The woman alleges that three other accused, including Akhtarsha, had physical relations with her against her will at different times. The woman has alleged that despite being pregnant, she was forced to have sexual relations with her. If they protested, they would be beaten and threatened with death. Apart from this, there has also been an allegation of blackmailing by threatening to make videos of private moments viral.
The name of the victim was changed, pressure was created to convert the daughters also.
In the complaint, the woman has alleged that she was re-converted to Islam by reciting Kalma in the presence of a Maulvi in Pegia village and she was named Fiza. According to the woman, both her daughters were also pressurized to convert their religion. According to the woman, on July 21, she was beaten, her clothes were thrown outside the house and she was thrown out of the house. After this the woman reached the police station and Sakhi One Stop Centre.

The woman had earlier also lodged a complaint in the same matter. According to the complaint, some accused were arrested during that time. Later, after the agreement and order of the High Court, the accused came out of jail. DSP CL Solanki said that the woman has again filed a complaint against the four accused. Acting on the basis of the complaint, the police have arrested one accused and sent him to jail. At present the police is investigating the entire matter. At present, all the allegations made in the case are of the complainant woman. The allegations will be confirmed only after police investigation and judicial process.
