Vijay Deverakonda Celebrates a Decade of Acting with Heartfelt Reflections

Actor Vijay Deverakonda is celebrating a remarkable milestone in his acting journey, reflecting on a decade filled with hard work and triumphs. It was July 29, 2016, when he first captured hearts as the leading man in Pelli Choopulu. Now, ten years later, Vijay looks back with gratitude and emotion. He took to X, sharing an array of photos and videos from the film’s set, allowing fans a nostalgic glimpse into the past.

One particular video shows Vijay arriving on set at the crack of dawn, ready for a 7 AM shoot—an early morning that marked the beginning of his rise to fame. In his heartfelt note, he mused, “10 years. Something feels very strange about reading that 10 years ago we all met in the theatres, laughed, fell in love, and created a bond that binds us even today. Something feels very heavy.”

He continued, “That day meant more to young me than anything I’ve experienced since. It gave a reckless dreamer the acknowledgment and strength to believe he wasn’t foolish for dreaming. I hold deep affection for my Telugu audience, but especially for Tharun. I miss you so much, man, and love you dearly. I am proud to have made this film with you; you are a precious soul.”

‘From Here On, Everything I Do Is All Heart’

Vijay expressed how life has changed, saying, “Today I am no longer that carefree young boy. Life is full, yet I feel the weight on my shoulders. From here on, everything I do is all heart because no other metric matters. From my heart to all my directors, to my RWDY boys and girls, to my family and friends, to my audience.”

Vijay’s journey to fame soared with the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy, and he continued to shine in films like Mahanati, Geetha Govindam, and Dear Comrade. His recent appearances include the 2024 hit Kalki 2898 AD and the current year’s Sing Geetham. Though The Family Star (2024) and Kingdom (2025) faced mixed reviews, Vijay remains undeterred.

Currently, Vijay is filming Rowdy Janardhana under the direction of Ravi Kiran Kola, starring alongside the talented Keerthy Suresh. He is also set to co-star with wife Rashmika Mandanna in Rahul Sankrithyan’s Ranabaali.
