Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today participated in the sixth foundation day celebration of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences at Indira Gandhi Pratisthan, Lucknow. On this occasion, he inaugurated new medical facilities in the institute including Organ Transplant Unit. In the programme, appointment letters were distributed to the candidates selected for 194 posts. Also, books written by senior faculty members of the institute were released.

The Chief Minister said that the pace at which the institute has progressed in the field of medicine, medical education, research and modern health facilities in a period of just 6 years is commendable.

He said, I am happy that today here we have honored the foundation stones that have contributed to the progress of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, with whose contribution this institute is moving forward with new dignity and pride. The result of starting the recruitment process in a transparent manner is that we call new technicians and faculty members on the stage with a bang and also provide them with appointment letters in a respectful manner.
The Chief Minister said, we have succeeded in 3 times the economy and per capita income of Uttar Pradesh in 9 years. More importantly, now the citizens of UP no longer face any identity crisis. Today is the time of technology, research and innovation. We have to take all three – healing, learning and discovery – together in the medical field. Only then can a medical institution truly become a center of excellence for clinical, academic and research excellence.
