‘We never wanted war…’ Iran’s big claim, Iranian leader targets America
Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in India, while giving a big statement regarding the current global tension, said that Iran never wanted war, but the continuous attacks forced it to take retaliatory action. He expressed hope that despite the situation, there is still scope for dialogue.
Emphasis placed on putting pressure on Israel
Taking aim at America and Israel, Ilahi said that these countries want to impose their conditions on others, whereas who gave them the right to do so is a big question. Describing the current situation as a situation of “neither war, nor peace”, he stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire.
He also raised the question why countries affected by war and facing energy crisis are not putting pressure on America and Israel to stop aggressive actions. According to Ilahi, the negotiation process that started in Oman had reached Geneva and was progressing, but the sudden attacks disrupted this process.
Iran suffered huge losses
The Iranian representative claimed that Iran has suffered huge losses in air and missile attacks. According to him, people close to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, military officers and civilians lost their lives in these attacks. He alleged that a large number of innocent girls were killed in an attack on a school. Ilahi said that so far thousands of people have been killed and several thousand injured, while infrastructure has also been seriously damaged.
Despite these circumstances, he clarified that Iran rejected the demand for “unconditional surrender” and stood firm in protecting its sovereignty. He said that no country can accept such conditions.
When did you talk about ceasefire?
Elahi also claimed that America and Israel could not achieve their objectives after about 40 days of conflict, after which the ceasefire came to the fore. However, he described it as not a real ceasefire but a situation of “no war, no peace”. On the internal situation in Iran, he said that the situation in the country is normal and people are engaged in their daily work. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he said that this area has been safe for a long time and Iran has been ensuring its security, which has benefited global trade.
