Weather Update: Weather will remain bad for next 3 days, alert of rain and storm in more than 17 states

Monsoon hits Kerala, weather changes mood

People across the country were troubled by the scorching heat, but now the news of relief has come. The south-west monsoon has finally reached Kerala and with it the weather patterns of many states have completely changed. Yesterday, strong storm, rain and thunder were seen in 11 states of the country. There were also reports of falling trees, power disruption and flights being affected at many places. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted similar weather conditions for the next three days.

Alert of storm and rain for 3 days

According to IMD, many parts of North India, Central India, East India and South India may receive rain with strong winds for the next 2 to 3 days. In many areas the wind speed can reach 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of rain along with lightning and thunder. In such a situation, people have been advised to be cautious. One should especially avoid standing in open fields and under trees.

Monsoon will reach these states by July 5

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon will now gradually start spreading across the country. Within the next one month i.e. by July 5, monsoon will reach many states including Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This news is considered a great relief for the farmers because the sowing time of Kharif crops is about to begin.

Yellow and orange alert of rain in many states including Delhi

The weather became pleasant after the heavy rain in Delhi-NCR on Wednesday. There is a possibility of cloudy sky and light to moderate rain for the next two days. Orange alert has been issued in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Strong storm and hailstorm may also be seen in some areas. People have been advised to leave their homes only when there is essential work.

These states will receive maximum rainfall on June 6 and 7.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman-Nicobar Islands on June 6 and 7. At the same time, rain and thundershowers will continue in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Strong winds along with rain may also occur in many districts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand. In such a situation, farmers and common people have been advised to keep an eye on the latest updates of the Meteorological Department.
