Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting organized in Malda, made a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi even called PM Modi a ‘traitor’ in his speech, which has further heated up the political atmosphere. Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister talks about patriotism, but his policies are not in the interest of the country. Referring to the trade deal with America, he alleged that it would cause huge losses to India’s small and medium industries. According to him, due to this deal, a large-scale employment crisis may arise in the country and the livelihood of millions of people will be affected.

Serious questions raised on SIR and voter list
In his speech, Rahul Gandhi also strongly raised the issue of SIR (Special Intensive Revision). He alleged that names of a large number of people are being removed from the voter list, which is completely unconstitutional. Rahul said that the right to vote is most important in a democracy and if people’s names are being removed deliberately, then it is a direct attack on the democratic system. He promised that if the Congress government is formed, those whose names have been wrongly removed will be added again.
Mention of Bharat Jodo Yatra, talk of ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’
In his address, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that a few years ago he had undertaken a padyatra of about 4000 kilometers from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. He said that the purpose of this yatra was to end the atmosphere of hatred spreading in the country and to open a ‘shop of love in the market of hatred’. He said that hatred weakens the country, just as hatred in a family breaks a family.

Personal attack on Modi, taunt on ’56 inch’ statement
In his speech, Rahul Gandhi also took a dig at PM Modi’s ’56 inch chest’ statement. He said that this is just a political slogan, not a reality. He also said that when he looks into PM Modi’s eyes, the Prime Minister is unable to make eye contact. According to him, the real strength of the country lies in the unity and mutual trust of the people and not in such slogans.
Adani issue again surrounded
Rahul Gandhi also targeted the central government regarding industrialist Gautam Adani. He alleged that most of the big projects and contracts of the government are given to Adani. Rahul said that there are close relations between BJP and Adani and the government policies are being made to benefit a few selected industrialists. He even said that the impact of matters related to Adani is being seen at the international level as well.

In his speech, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned former US President Donald Trump. He claimed that questions are being raised about India’s position at the international level and there is also external pressure on the Prime Minister.
