Mamata’s hope or the rise of BJP? TMC got lead in this only exit poll, BJP got majority in remaining 4.
West Bengal Exit Poll 2026: Voting in two phases of West Bengal Assembly elections ended on Wednesday. Now the results are awaited on May 4. Before that, exit poll figures were revealed today at 6:30 pm. In four out of five surveys, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress seems to be losing from Bengal after one and a half decade. But there is a survey agency, which has claimed victory of TMC in the state. People’s Pulse Survey Agency in its exit poll has predicted the formation of Mamata government for the fourth consecutive time in the state.
According to People’s Pulse’s West Bengal exit poll, Trinamool Congress may get 177-187 seats in the state, while BJP is expected to get 95-110 seats. Congress has been given one to three seats.
BJP’s victory in exit poll
In a total of five surveys, Materize BJP in Bengal Has claimed victory. BJP may get 146-161 seats, TMC may get 12-140 seats. In the exit poll of P Markue, BJP has been given 150-175 seats, TMC has been given 118-138 seats. Apart from this, according to Poll Diary agency, TMC has been given 99-127 seats, BJP 142-171 seats. Congress may get three to five seats. Praja Poll Survey Agency has also predicted a bumper victory for BJP. In Bengal, BJP can reach 178-208 seats, while TMC seems limited to only 85-110.
Historic voting in the second phase
Whereas in West Bengal assembly elections Nearly 90 per cent of the 3.21 crore voters exercised their franchise till 5 pm amid sporadic violence in the second and final phase of polling. Bhawanipur assembly constituency witnessed tension for some time when Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP’s Subhendu Adhikari, who was contesting from the coveted seat, traded accusations at each other in the same booth area.

Till 5 pm, 89.99 percent voting took place in the state. East Bardhaman in the state recorded the highest turnout of 92.46 percent, followed by Hooghly at 90.34 percent. In the first phase, 93.19 percent voting took place in Bengal.
