The third ODI match between India and West Indies was played at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Mohali. Batting first, India set a target of 352 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs. In reply, the West Indies team easily won the match thanks to captain Shai Hope's excellent inning of 162 runs.
India won the toss and decided to bat. Scored 351 runs at the loss of seven wickets. Wicketkeeper Lokesh Rahul played an unbeaten inning of 129 runs. Opener Rohit Sharma missed his century. He played an excellent inning of 92 runs. Rituraj Gaikwad also contributed 57 runs. West Indies bowler Jayden Seales took three wickets. Keemo Paul got two successes.

India's start was not good
In the third match, Anshul Kamboj got a chance in place of injured Prasidh Krishna. This was his ODI debut. Apart from this, Mohammed Siraj and Nitish Kumar Reddy were included in the team. The start of the Indian team was not good. Only 28 runs were scored in the first 10 overs. Within three overs, India had suffered two setbacks in the form of Shubhman Gill and Virat Kohli. Later, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma took the team to a strong position. Naman Dheer scored 30 runs and Anshul Kamboj scored 17 runs to strengthen the team.
Hope played an excellent innings
Chasing the target, West Indies easily defeated India by five wickets. However, India definitely won the series 2-0. West Indies captain Shai Hope played an unbeaten inning of 162 runs in 143 balls. Aamir Jangu contributed 67 runs. Keemo Paul put the team in a strong position by playing an inning of 44 runs in 35 balls.

Disappointment from bowlers
Indian bowlers could not do anything special in the match. Mohammad Siraj, Gurnoor Brar, Kuldeep Yadav and Naman Dheer got one success each. Anshul Kanjob proved to be very expensive in his first match. He gave 82 runs in 9 overs and did not get any success.
