'Lack of teachers in schools', MLA made emotional video, AAP suspended

In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party has attacked its own MLA. Sukhvir Singh Maisarkhana, MLA from Maur Assembly seat of Bathinda, has been suspended on charges of anti-party activities and indiscipline. MLA Sukhveer Singh had recently posted a video. In this he raised the issue of shortage of teachers in the schools of his assembly constituency. After this video, Aam Aadmi Party decided to suspend him.

 

In its letter, Aam Aadmi Party wrote, 'Dear Sukhveer Singh, it has come to the notice of the party that you have been found involved in anti-party activities and indiscipline. In view of this, your primary membership of the party is suspended with immediate effect.

Bittu shared Sukhveer's video

The video of MLA Sukhveer Singh Maisarkhana is very viral on social media. Opposition parties have made this a big issue. BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu shared Sukhveer's video and slammed the Punjab government. He wrote, 'Camera claims versus the ground reality of Punjab! The tears of Aam Aadmi Party's own MLA Sukhveer Maisarkhana have exposed the ground reality behind Punjab's much talked about 'education model'. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party says that the claim of MLA Maisarkhana is false and an attempt to tarnish the image of the government.

How did you become uncomfortable with the MLA's question?

The Aam Aadmi Party has built its entire image around model schools in the last decade. After Delhi, the party also promised to improve schools in Punjab. Through different forums, he also claimed to improve the quality of Punjab's schools and convert them into model schools. Credited himself with awakening a new revolution of education in Punjab. AAP leaders strongly raised the issue of dilapidated schools, education and poor system in BJP ruled states.
