Health Desk.  Blood pressure (BP) is an important indicator of the health of our heart and blood vessels. Regular monitoring becomes even more important as we age. However, doctors consider blood pressure around 120/80 mmHg to be ideal for most healthy adults. However, understanding the normal range at different ages can be helpful.

Normal blood pressure ranges by age

18 to 29 years

Normal BP: 110/70 to 120/80 mmHg

At this age, it is easy to maintain normal BP through regular exercise and balanced diet.

30 to 39 years

Normal BP: 110/70 to 122/82 mmHg

Job stress, irregular routine and increasing weight can affect BP, so get it checked from time to time.

40 to 49 years

Normal BP: 115/75 to 125/83 mmHg

The risk of high blood pressure increases at this age. Eat less salt and exercise daily.

50 to 59 years

Paying special attention to blood pressure is essential to protect your heart and kidneys. Get regular health checkups.

60 years and above
