The 5-match ODI series between India and New Zealand is starting from Wednesday (November 4). The command of Team India is in the hands of Shubman Gill, while New Zealand will be captained by Mitchell Santner. The Indian team is going to play an ODI series on New Zealand soil after 4 years. Team India had to face 1-0 defeat in the last series held in November 2022. However, at that time there were no legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the team. The team was captained by Shikhar Dhawan. A lot has changed since then.
Kohli-Rohit are not missing any ODI. Both are active only in this format. The captaincy of the team has come into the hands of Gill. The management's emphasis is on preparing the 2027 ODI World Cup team. In such a situation, this series against New Zealand is very important. Looking at the Kiwi team, an exciting match is expected.
