Due to hormonal changes during periods, many women have to face problems like weakness, fatigue, stomach ache and mood swings. In such a situation, it is important to take special care of diet. The expert told what things she includes in her diet during her periods, so that the body can get the necessary nutrients and energy.
Diet should be like this during periods
- Soaked raisins and saffron water: Kiran starts her day with raisins soaked in saffron water. Soak 8-10 black raisins in water containing 3-4 saffron threads. Filter the water in the morning and drink it. Along with this, also consume soaked almonds and walnuts.
- Apple Fiber Bowl Recipe: After that, Kiran includes Stewed Apple Fiber Bowl in her diet for breakfast so that the body gets fiber and does not have to face constipation during periods. Cook 2 peeled apples with a little cinnamon for 6-7 minutes until soft, then add soaked chia seeds, 1 tablespoon flaxseed powder, 1 tablespoon roasted pumpkin seeds, some soaked black raisins, 2 dried plums and 3-4 teaspoons pomegranate seeds. Mix everything together and your fiber bowl is ready.
- Vegetable Juice: Kiran also includes juice in her diet. Grind one beetroot along with half a carrot, half a cup of pomegranate, coriander leaves and mint leaves and filter it and then add the juice of half a lemon to it and consume this drink.
- Jowar Roti: In lunch, Kiran consumes jowar roti along with bean curry and curd. To make jowar roti, take flour and mix finely chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chilli, salt and black pepper powder in it. Add lukewarm water and knead a soft dough. Divide the dough into portions and roll each portion into a roti. Cook on hot pan until golden and cooked well on both sides.
- Paneer Makhana Tikki: For dinner, Kiran likes to have a balanced meal which includes dal, rice and Paneer Makhana Tikki. Soak the makhana and drain the water thoroughly. Mix soaked makhana, grated paneer, 1 boiled potato, grated carrot, boiled peas, coriander leaves, green chillies, chaat masala, salt, black pepper powder and spices as required. Mix everything well and make small tikkis from the mixture. Fry the tikkis on a hot pan until they become golden and crisp on both sides.
- Hibiscus Tea: Boil 1 cup water for 3-4 minutes at night. Turn off the flame and add 1 tsp dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and let it sit for 7-10 minutes. Filter and drink hot.
