What work does Cursor do that SpaceX bought by paying Rs 5.6 lakh crore?

SpaceX, the company of the world’s richest man Elon Musk, has also taken a big step in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Elon Musk has bought AI startup company ‘Cursor’ for $60 billion. This amount is Rs 5.6 lakh crore in Indian rupees. Musk has spent a huge amount to buy this small company.

 

Cursor is a startup company, which does coding work. After this takeover by Musk, companies like Anthropic and OpenAI working in the field of AI will be challenged.

SpaceX had given the second offer in April itself

Earlier in April itself, SpaceX had said in an official statement that it has the right to buy Cursor. At the same time, SpaceX had offered to work together with an investment of 10 billion dollars in Cursor Company.

 

SpaceX said in a statement on Tuesday that the deal will be completed in July. After the deal is sealed, Cursor will become a completely subsidiary of SpaceX.

Where does Cursor Company operate from?

The name of the company that makes the cursor is Anysphere. Anisphere is also a startup, which operates from San Francisco, USA. Cursor is an Anisphere subsidiary company that does coding work. SpaceX has praised Cursor, saying it has “access to expert software engineers.” This is the reason why Elon Musk has spent such a huge amount.

What did the cursor say?

Cursor has said that the partnership with SpaceX subsidiary xAI will help it develop future AI products. According to the company, it will be able to build next-generation AI solutions using the capabilities of XAI’s large AI data center complex Colossus located in Memphis, Tennessee.
