Polls are smarter and more private than ever before
Giving information, WhatsApp said in its blog post that the Polling Feature has been upgraded to make decision-making easier in group chats. Now users will be able to set a Voting End Time for any poll, after which voting will automatically stop. Not only this, now the option of Anonymous Voting will also be available, due to which the identity of the people voting will remain hidden. Apart from this, the user who created the poll can also make corrections in the question or options within 15 minutes of posting. This will eliminate the need to correct typing mistakes or create a new poll.
Important messages will be delivered in one click with the @all tag.
Along with this, WhatsApp has also introduced a new @all Mention feature. With its help, now there will be no need to tag each member of the group separately. By just writing @all, all the members will get the notification. This feature will be especially useful for sharing important information like office or school closure information, event reminders, meeting updates or last minute changes in the schedule. But in groups with more than 32 members, only the admin will be able to use the @all feature. The good thing is that if any user wants, they can also mute the @all alert by going to the notification settings of the app.
Now the new group will be formed from the old group itself.
The third new feature will prove useful for users who often want to have separate discussions with certain members within the same group. Now, a new group can be created directly from an existing group with selected members, without the need to manually add them again. This feature is considered extremely useful for planning surprise parties, preparing for an event, discussing projects, or discussing different topics.
