The upcoming film, a follow-up to 2023’s Jaileralso brings back original cast members Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, Shivarajkumar, Yogi Babu, Jaffer Sadiq, and Vinayakan. Reportedly, Mohanlal is also set to reprise his role in the film. On the other hand, speculative reports have linked Shah Rukh Khan to the project, in addition to Mithun Chakraborty, Hrithik Roshan and Vidya Balan. Meanwhile, the new additions to the cast include Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vijay Sethupathi, Anna Rajan, Hakkim Shah, Bagavathi Perumal, Meghana Raj, Shamna Kasim, and Jatin Sarna, among others.
The upcoming film brings back several technical team members from the 2023 film, including composer Anirudh, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, editor R Nirmal, art director DRK Kiran, and costume designers Pallavi Singh and Muthul Hafeez. The film’s technical crew also includes stunt choreographer Chethan D’Souza.
Jailer 2 is scheduled for an October 15 release in theatres. Also set to hit theatres around the same time is Warning director Rajkumar Periasamy's Aboutstarring Dhanush and Mammootty, among others.
