New Delhi: The conflict in the country's politics regarding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has intensified. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has accused Gyanesh Kumar of tampering with the election system and demanded his resignation, after which BJP has made a sharp counterattack. In a press conference in Delhi, Rahul said that "According to the Indian Express report, two election commissioners have raised objections to the SIR process." 

Describing the action of both the commissioners as bold, he said that Gyanesh Kumar should become a government witness. Rahul said, "I demand immediate resignation from Gyanesh Kumar. You have attacked the electoral system. We will not let democracy be ruined."

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi hit back

Along with this, Rahul again reiterated the allegation of vote theft in the elections and said that rigging has taken place in many states including the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that vote theft leads to law theft and law theft leads to capture of institutions. As soon as Rahul's PC ended, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi took charge. Describing Rahul's political understanding as zero, he said, "PM Modi is down to earth, Rahul Gandhi is flying."

Trivedi said that Rahul does not even know that Congress has not come to power in Bihar after 1990, in Odisha after 1999 and in UP after 1989, whereas in Bengal there is Mamata Banerjee's government for three consecutive terms.

'Amethi-Rae Bareli cannot win without support': Sudhanshu Trivedi

BJP said that ever since transparent elections, CCTV and independent media have come in the country, Congress has gone away from power. The real anti-incumbency is against the Gandhi family, who cannot even win Amethi-Rae Bareli without the support of SP. Not only this, Sudhanshu also questioned the media report on which Rahul's allegations are based. He said that there is no quote from any Election Commissioner in that report.
