Whether to go to Kanpur or Khajuraho on Rakshabandhan, no tension; Announcement of 12 special trains

Keeping in mind the huge crowd on Rakshabandhan and the convenience of passengers, Northern Railway has announced to run 12 special trains. The running of these trains will benefit the passengers traveling to Ambala, Panipat, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Mathura, Muzaffarnagar and Delhi. During Rakshabandhan and thereafter, travelers going to Haryana, Delhi, Western UP, Bundelkhand and Mathura-Vrindavan now have many options. Trains going from Delhi to Kanpur are reserved superfast. Some trains are unreserved. Operation of these trains will reduce the pressure on stations during the festive season.

Tilak Bridge-Muzaffanagar Special

Special train (04402/04401) will run between Tilak Bridge and Muzaffarnagar on 27th and 28th August. Both trains will make two trips each. This unreserved special train will be helpful in handling the crowd in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Ghaziabad in view of Rakshabandhan. On August 27, this train will depart from Tilak Bridge at 9:45 am and reach Muzaffarnagar at 1 pm. If we talk about return, this train will leave Muzaffarnagar at 1.30 in the afternoon and will reach Tilak Bridge at 5.30 in the evening.

There will be a stop here: Anand Vihar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Muradnagar, Modinagar, Meerut City, Meerut Cantt, Daurala, Khatauli, Mansoorpur and Muzaffarnagar.

Panipat–Delhi–Ambala Cantt Special (04404/04403)

The train will leave from Panipat at 9:55 am. Will reach Delhi Junction at 1:10 pm. This special train will make two trips between Panipat and Delhi on 27th and 29th August. Train number 04403 from Delhi will go to Ambala Cantt. Its arrival timing is at 7:30 pm. These trains will stop at Sonipat, Gannaur, Samalkha, Panipat, Karnal, Nilokheri, Kurukshetra, Shahabad Markanda, Mohadi, Narela, Holambi Kalan, Badli, Adarsh ​​Nagar Delhi, Delhi Azadpur and Sabzi Mandi.

Ambala Cantt–Panipat Unreserved Special (04406)

A special train will run between Ambala Cantt and Panipat on 27th and 28th August. The train will depart from Ambala Cantt at 8:10 pm. It will reach Panipat at 10:45 pm. The train will also stop at Kurukshetra and Karnal stations.

Shamli–Delhi Shahdara–Shamli Special (04408/04407)

The train will leave from Shamli in UP at 8:30 am. Will reach Shahdara at 10:40. In return, this train will depart at 11:40 am and reach at 2:05 pm.

New Delhi–Kanpur Central Superfast Special (02456/02455)

The reserved superfast train between New Delhi and Kanpur will run in both directions from August 28 to September 4. It will leave New Delhi at 7:15 am and reach Kanpur at 12:30 pm. In return, it will depart from Kanpur at 1:30 pm and reach New Delhi station at 7:35 pm. There will be halt at Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah stations on the way. Railways has also announced to run superfast special (02458/02457) train from Anand Vihar to Kanpur. This train will run on 30 August, 1 September and 3 September. There will be return from Kanpur also on the same dates.

Hazrat Nizamuddin–Mathura Special (04410/04409): Travelers going to Mathura will benefit from this. This train will run on 27th and 28th August. The train will have stoppages at Okhla, Tughlakabad, Faridabad, Faridabad New Town, Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Hodal, Kosi Kalan, Chata, Vrindavan Road and Bhuteshwar stations.

 

Ghaziabad–Aligarh–Ghaziabad Special (04412/04411): The train will operate between Ghaziabad and Aligarh on 27th and 28th August. The train will leave at 11 am and is scheduled to reach Aligarh at 1 pm. It will depart from Aligarh for Ghaziabad at 1:12 pm. The train will have stoppages at Dadri, Boraki, Ajibpur, Dankaur, Chola, Khurja Junction, Somna and Mehrawal stations.

 

Subedarganj–Shakurbasti: Three trains will operate between these two stations. Train number 02275 will operate from Subedarganj on 25, 28 and 30 August. Train number 02276 will operate from Shakurbasti on 26, 29 and 31 August. Train number 04147 will leave from Subedarganj on 26th August. This train will return from Shakurbasti to Subedarganj on 27th August. Train number 04163 will leave for Shakurbasti from Subedarganj on 27th August. Next day this train (04164) will leave from Shakurbasti for Subedarganj. The train will stop at Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur and Fatehpur stations.

 

Jhansi-Hazrat Nizamuddin: Two special trains will operate between Jhansi and Delhi on 27th and 28th August. Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi-Hazrat Nizamuddin Special (01901/01992) train will operate from both sides. The train will leave Jhansi at 11 am and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 6:30 pm. The second special train (01903/01904) will run from 26 to 30 August 2026 and will make five trips.

 

Khajuraho–Hazrat Nizamuddin Special (01913/01914): This special train will operate from Khajuraho on 26, 28 and 30 August. Three trips each from both sides are scheduled. The train will run from Hazrat Nizamuddin on 27, 29 and 31 August. The trains will have stoppages at Chhatarpur, Khargapur, Tikamgarh, Dailwara, Jhansi, Datia, Dabra, Gwalior, Morena, Dholpur, Agra Cantt, Mathura and Kosi Kalan.
