During Shardiya Navratri, the idol of Maa Durga with 10 hands is often seen. Different weapons can be seen in the ten hands of Maa Durga. According to religious belief, this statue of Maa Durga is a symbol of the goddess who fights against power and unrighteousness. This year the festival of Shardiya Navratri will be celebrated from 11th October to 19th October. During this, nine forms of Mother Durga will be worshipped. In the religious text Durga Saptashati, it is mentioned about the 10 arms of Goddess Durga. Which gods gave weapons?
Many weapons are seen in the idol of Maa Durga, which mainly include weapons like trident, sword, chakra, conch, bow-arrow, noose, lotus and thunderbolt. Now the question arises that which gods had given these weapons to Mother Durga. Let us know.
bow and arrow- According to religious beliefs, this weapon is related to the god of wind, which was given by Indra Dev to Maa Durga. This weapon is considered a symbol of fast speed and concentration.
Sword- This weapon was very important for Mother Durga during the war. It is believed that this weapon was given by Kaal Dev to Maa Durga. The sword is considered a symbol of the weapon that cuts unrighteousness.
Trishul- It is considered to be the weapon of Lord Shiva. It is considered a symbol of the three main qualities of creation.

shell- This weapon was given to Mother Durga by Indra and Varun Dev. According to religious belief, conch shell is a symbol of positive sound and auspiciousness.
