Big upheaval in Bengal politics-
The results of West Bengal Assembly elections have brought a big change in the politics of the state. After two phases of voting, counting of votes took place on May 4, in which the ruling Trinamool Congress suffered a crushing defeat.

According to the election results, BJP performed brilliantly and won 207 seats, while Trinamool Congress was reduced to just 80 seats. In the last elections, BJP had won only 77 seats, while TMC had won 215 seats. With this victory, the 15-year long rule of Trinamool Congress in Bengal came to an end.
