Colombo. Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on Monday responded to the criticism over his heated exchange with Sri Lankan fast bowler Asitha Fernando, saying people should know what was said to him before passing judgment on his reaction. Jaiswal's behavior has drawn a lot of criticism for the incident, which occurred on the first day of the second Test at the SSC ground on Sunday.
Jaiswal replied
“Please don't pass judgment if you don't know what I was told,” Jaiswal said while reacting to a video posted by Cricbuzz on Instagram regarding the incident. If anyone crosses the line, we will have to tell him that India will not step back and will respond.
What did Harsha Bhogle say
Famous commentator Harsha Bhogle said in the video that it would have been best for Jaiswal to just leave from there. The clash took place soon after Fernando dismissed Jaiswal for 45 runs during the opening session on the first day of the match. When the left-handed batsman was returning towards the pavilion, Fernando gestured towards him and said something, due to which Jaiswal got angry and turned and confronted the fast bowler.
