There’s great news for those waiting to purchase residential plots near the Noida International Airport. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to launch two new residential plot schemes simultaneously during Navratri. Significantly, these schemes will offer plots to both the general public and the working class.
The Yamuna Authority’s proposed residential plot scheme will be implemented in Sector 5A. It plans to include plots ranging from 40 square meters to 300 square meters. Plots of 40 square meters will be reserved for economically weaker sections (laborers), while plots ranging from 162 square meters to 300 square meters will be available for applicants from the general category.
Approval for Nearly 4,000 Plots
The final number of plots in the new scheme has not yet been finalized. However, the YEIDA board has approved approximately 4,000 residential plots. Information regarding the application process for the scheme and the price of different plot sizes is expected to be released soon.
People who have already received plots will not be eligible
This time, YEIDA has made significant changes to the rules of the residential plot scheme. Those who have already been allotted a plot in Noida, Greater Noida, or any previous YEIDA residential plot scheme will not be eligible for the new scheme. The authority aims to provide an opportunity to those who have not yet received a plot in any government housing scheme. This could benefit applicants preparing to purchase a residential plot for the first time.
Scheme May Launch During Navratri
According to Yamuna Authority CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, the process of finalizing the scheme is underway. After this, it will be registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The scheme is likely to be launched during Navratri.
Over 100,000 Applications Received in the Previous Scheme
YEIDA’s previous residential plot scheme received an overwhelming response from the public. In the current financial year, the authority launched a scheme for 973 residential plots, for which over 100,000 applications were received.
Demand for plots near the airport may increase
With the rapidly developing infrastructure around the Noida International Airport, demand for residential plots is constantly growing. With the approval of approximately four thousand new plots, it is believed that a large number of people may apply for the new YEIDA scheme. However, the application date, exact number of plots, pricing, and final booking rules will only be clear after YEIDA’s official announcement.
