New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Water Minister Satyendar Jain has been arrested. He has been arrested in the scam case related to Delhi Jal Board. Delhi government's Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) has arrested six people including Satyendra Jain, former CEO of Delhi Jal Board and IAS officer Udit Prakash Rai, former contractual consultant of Delhi Jal Board Ankit Srivastava, Nagendra Yadav, owner of M/s AN Enterprises, M/s Euroteck Environment Pvt. Ltd. Raja Kumar Kurra, owner and Pankaj Verma, proprietor of M/s Srijanhar.

Earlier, ACB had interrogated all these 6 accused. It is alleged that irregularities were allegedly committed in the tender of Delhi Jal Board's Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), technical conditions were manipulated and bribes were taken. ACB has found in its investigation that such technical conditions were deliberately kept in the tender due to which M/s Euroteck Environment Pvt. Ltd. Only the company got the tender. According to the ACB, the amount of commission and bribe in the tender process was circulated through M/s AN Enterprises and M/s Srijanhar.

As per investigation, M/s Euroteck Environment Pvt. Ltd. A good amount of money was deposited in Nagendra Yadav's firm from companies associated with it. An amount of Rs 1.52 crore was sent to the bank accounts of former Jal Board CEO Udit Prakash Rai and his relatives through M/s AN Enterprises, which was allegedly bribe money and later this amount was invested in property. A case was registered in this matter on 11 May 2024 on the basis of the complaint given by the Vigilance Directorate of Delhi Government. The FIR was lodged under sections 7/7A/9/13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (amended in 2018) and sections 420/409/418/120-B of the IPC.
