New Delhi. Kolkata Police has registered an FIR against former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Mamata is accused of violating the order of the Calcutta High Court during the foundation day program of Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad organized on Cathedral Road on August 28. Apart from Mamata, the police have also registered a case against the program organizers of TMC Student Council. While granting permission for the programme, the High Court had directed that a part of the road should remain completely open so that the general public does not face problems due to traffic. Also asked to complete the program within the stipulated time limit.
Police allege that during the program, Trinamool Congress supporters removed barricades and obstructed traffic. The program lasted longer than the time limit set for the program by the court. Not only this, there was also a scuffle with the policemen. An FIR has been registered at Hastings Police Station under sections 61(2)/223/125(a)/132/285 of BNS against Mamata Banerjee and others. It was clearly stated by the Calcutta High Court that not more than 1500 people should be present in the program and the program should be completed between 12 noon and 3 pm.

In this matter, BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said, Mamata Banerjee still feels that she is above the law. Now there is rule of law and constitution in Bengal. There is the rule of 'double-engine' growth and there is the rule of politics of performance. The cut money, syndicate rule is over. Mamata Banerjee should come out of that dream. If she disobeys the law, action will be taken against her. Mamata Banerjee should desist from her tendency of repeatedly belittling the Constitution and the law.
