New Delhi. Defamation notice of Rs 500 crore has been issued to Shiv Sena UBT MLA Aditya Thackeray and former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in Disha Salian's death case. Disha's father Satish Salian has alleged that these leaders have termed his legal fight to get justice for his daughter as politically motivated. Satish Salian alleged that the statements of these leaders have hurt his reputation. Satish Salian has demanded an unconditional, public apology from Aditya Thackeray and Anil Deshmukh.

According to the notice, within 7 days, Aditya Thackeray and Anil Deshmukh should post their video on social media and apologize publicly. If they do not do so, criminal defamation action will be taken against them under Section 356 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Let us tell you that just a day ago, Aditya Thackeray had issued a statement in this matter and said that leaving aside the useless things, let us once again talk about the reality. I have never met Disha Salian nor do I know her. For the last six years, some people have been continuously linking my name with this tragic case for political and personal purposes. This is a deliberate and baseless attempt to malign my image.

Aditya said that noisy TV debates and media trials do not change the truth. Let the official investigation of this matter proceed again, without ill intentions and attempts to malign the image for political purposes. It is noteworthy that on the orders of Bombay High Court, CBI has taken over the investigation of this case. There are many big names in the FIR lodged by CBI including Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, Anil Deshmukh.
