New Delhi. The Indian External Affairs Ministry has strongly reacted to the anti-India resolution passed and comments made at the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting on October 17-18 in Baghdad. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs reprimanded the OIC as saying that the statements made about India are malicious, biased and false, which are sponsored by Pakistan. We are disappointed that the OEC has once again allowed itself to be used to further Pakistan's extremist agenda. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that we have said earlier also, OIC has no right to comment on India's internal affairs.

The MEA said, the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral and inseparable part of India. Propaganda motivated by political motives can never change this truth. In the years since the abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir has seen considerable economic growth. The people here have directly benefited through infrastructure development, tourism and connectivity. This situation is completely different from PoJK (Pakistan Illegally Occupied Kashmir), where Pakistan has used violence, repression and brutality on common protesters. Many people including women and children have been killed there. These serious violations of human rights could not be hidden even by banning the media.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs stated in very clear words that there are only two issues related to Jammu and Kashmir which should be addressed. First, for Pakistan to vacate the areas it has illegally and forcibly occupied, and second, to stop supporting cross-border terrorism. Other fabricated and hostile statements against India in the OIC resolutions, including allegations of 'Islamophobia' (fear or hatred of Islam), are just a desperate attempt by Pakistan. Through this it wants to divert international attention from its own poor record, which includes atrocities on minorities, communal violence, governance failure and political instability. OIC's repeated endorsement of the completely malicious propaganda and narrative being spread by Pakistan raises serious questions on the credibility and integrity of the organization. We hope that its members will take better steps and bring improvements in this organization.
