From Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Padma Vibhushan, Asha Tai received these awards
Queen of tunes Asha Bhosle is no more with us, but her melodious voice and brilliant achievements will always be remembered. Asha Bhosle, who started singing at the age of nine, sang thousands of songs in a career spanning more than seven decades and left her mark on every genre of music.
Initially he mainly got to sing cabaret and dance numbers, but later he proved his versatility by singing ghazals in films like ‘Umrao Jaan’. Asha Bhosle received the most prestigious honors in the world of Indian cinema and music. These include Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Vibhushan and many Filmfare and National Awards. His achievements not only testify to his talent but also reflect his hard work and dedication.
Asha Bhosle gave her master class not only in Bollywood but also in jazz and classical music. Asha Bhosle, considered the biggest voice of Hindi film music after Lata Mangeshkar, has fascinated many generations.

Apart from this, he also received the Filmfare Special Award for the film ‘Rangeela’ in 1996 and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. Asha Bhosle received the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer twice. The first year was for ‘Dil Cheez Kya Hai’ from the 1981 film ‘Umrao Jaan’ and the second year was for ‘Mera Kuch Saaman’ from the 1986 film Ijaazat.
If we look at other major honors, Asha Bhosle received the highest honor for her contribution to Indian cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the year 2000. At the same time, the country’s second highest civilian honor was awarded Padma Vibhushan in the year 2008. Nightingale of Asia Award received in the year 1987. Singer of the Millennium was awarded in the year 2000. Whereas, IIFA Award was received in the year 2002 for the song ‘Radha Kaise Na Jale’ from the film ‘Lagaan’.
