A big revelation has come to light regarding the possible peace agreement between America and Iran. According to the report of Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency, a 14-point draft of the proposed agreement between the two countries has been prepared, which includes many important provisions ranging from ending the war to reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the report, under the agreement it has been proposed to implement immediate and permanent ceasefire on all fronts. In this, special emphasis has been laid on ending regional conflicts and reducing tension.
Strait of Hormuz will open within 30 days
One of the most important conditions of the draft is the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days. However, its operation and monitoring is proposed to remain under the control of Iran.
The Strait of Hormuz is a major route for global oil trade and its opening is expected to bring stability to the international energy market.
America will remove naval blockade
According to the report, America will have to end the naval blockade around Iran within 30 days and will also have to reduce its military presence in the region.
The agreement also includes the US not to interfere in Iran’s internal affairs and respect its sovereignty.
Proposal for relief from oil sanctions
The draft agreement also includes a proposal to lift or suspend US sanctions imposed on Iranian oil.
Experts believe that if this agreement is implemented, there may be relief in the global oil market and there may be a positive impact on crude oil prices.
Iran will get $24 billion fund
According to the draft, it has been proposed to release Iran’s freeze fund worth about $24 billion.
Apart from this, there has also been discussion of preparing an economic assistance plan of at least 300 billion dollars for the reconstruction of Iran by America and its allies.
Repeated promise not to make nuclear weapons
Iran has once again assured in the draft that it will not develop nuclear weapons.
In return, the US has committed not to increase its military power in the region during the negotiation period and not to impose any new sanctions on Iran.
Detailed talks will continue for 60 days
According to the report, both the countries will hold detailed talks for the next 60 days on issues related to nuclear programme, economic sanctions and regional stability.
It has also been proposed to create a special mechanism to monitor compliance with the agreement, while the final agreement is planned to be approved by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
official confirmation still pending
Although Mehr News Agency has published details of the draft agreement, neither Iran nor the US has officially confirmed it so far.
The report said that the final agreement is yet to be approved by Iran’s top leadership and there remains the possibility of further discussion on many points.
Missile program kept out of talks
It is noteworthy that this draft does not include sensitive issues like Iran’s missile program and support to regional armed organizations.
Analysts believe that these issues could become the biggest challenge in future talks.
Big step towards peace in the Middle East
If this agreement takes final form, it will be considered an important diplomatic achievement towards establishing stability in the Middle East. Besides, its widespread impact can also be seen on the global energy market, oil supply and international trade.
