Senior lawyers should come forward, give strict punishment to the accused of paper leak: PM Modi!
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the issue of paper leak is not limited to just any one state or central government, but is a matter of concern for the entire country. As soon as the government got information about the paper leak, immediate action was taken and till now 13 accused have been arrested in this case and sent to jail.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju informed the media about the meeting after NDA’s ‘Mangal Milan’ program on Tuesday. He told that the Prime Minister has said that the senior lawyers of the country should also come forward to provide strictest punishment to the people involved in serious crime like paper leak, so that fear of law is created in the minds of those who commit such crimes in future.
According to Rijiju, the Prime Minister has said that the first priority of the government is to secure the future of the students. For this reason, the re-examination of NEET was conducted soon and its result was also declared without any delay, so that the educational future of the students is not affected.
He said that the Prime Minister clarified that the people who have been identified as involved in the paper leak racket have been arrested and sent to jail. Now the government wants to ensure that the culprits are punished so severely that no one dares to commit such a crime in the future.
Kiren Rijiju said that the Prime Minister believes that paper leak is not a matter of just any one state or central government, but it is a matter related to the future of the entire country and the youth. Therefore, all states and all political parties should take united action against this crime. He said that this is not an issue of any party politics, but a question of security of the future of the country and the youth.
The Prime Minister has also said that the government is not only giving assurance of stopping paper leaks in future, but is also preparing the youth of the country to lead at the global level. He has said that the youth of India are continuously performing brilliantly in various fields and the entire focus of the government is on strengthening their future.
Kiren Rijiju said that during the meeting, the Prime Minister also appreciated the successful launch of Vikram-1 rocket by Skyroot Aerospace. He said that Indian youth are scaling new heights in many fields including science, technology and innovation. Therefore, the government will keep its time, energy and full focus on the youth and their future.
Kiren Rijiju said that the meeting was very positive. The Prime Minister also mentioned India’s major achievements in the last few months. Referring to the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) signed with various countries, he said that these agreements are in the interest of both the farmers and the country.
The Prime Minister also gave a message to the NDA MPs regarding the monsoon session. Rijiju said that the Prime Minister made it clear that the NDA will play a positive role in the monsoon session of Parliament and will unitedly pursue all the bills and important legislative work brought by the government in Parliament.
He also appealed for cooperation from opposition parties. Rijiju said the Prime Minister’s message was that there may be differences among political parties, but Parliament is the highest platform to work for the country, its future and the youth. Therefore, all MPs should rise above party politics and work together to run the proceedings of Parliament smoothly and in the interest of the country.
