Rahul Gandhi said, not Amit Shah's statement, answers are needed on students' issues!

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday targeted Union Home Minister Amit Shah and sought answers from the Central Government regarding the police action against students. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, while speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex on Wednesday, said that there is no interest in listening to the statement or “lecture” of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
His priority is to get answers to the questions related to the young generation of the country, which are related to the alleged violence on students. Rahul Gandhi said that he has held a press conference with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other opposition parties have also made their stand clear.

He said that the opposition wants to know who gave the order to open fire on the protesting students in Delhi, on whose orders lathi charge was carried out on the students and who is responsible for the incident of loss of eyesight of a student.

Questioning the role of the Home Ministry, he said that the order for action against the students was implemented from the level of the Home Ministry. Rahul Gandhi directly asked Amit Shah whether he had given the order to open fire on the students. He said that if such an order was given by the Home Minister then he should resign because then he would be responsible for this action. At the same time, if he had not given such an order, then Rahul Gandhi raised questions on his ability and demanded his resignation.

Rahul Gandhi said that Amit Shah has not been seen in the House for the last 20 days. The Home Minister does not have the courage to face the House and he cannot come to the Parliament and answer these questions. Rahul Gandhi also mentioned the students being allegedly attacked with sticks studded with nails and asked who had ordered such action.

At the same time, Rahul Gandhi rejected the allegations of remaining silent against him on the issue of student protests in Jharkhand. He said that he is not silent on the issue of Jharkhand and has clearly said in his press conference that any kind of violence against students cannot be considered justified.

Rahul Gandhi said that he is speaking openly on this issue and the aim of the opposition is to ensure accountability in cases of violence against students. He said that it is important to get answers to these questions related to youth and students and the government should put forward a clear position on this.
