To facilitate the participants of 'Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026', Central Railway will operate two special suburban services between the night of 3 October to the morning of 4 October 2026. These trains will run on the main line and harbor line.
A large number of participants are expected to participate in this marathon organized in the memory of Late Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, Flying Officer of the Indian Air Force. Central Railway has arranged these special services with the aim of providing convenient and timely travel to the participants.
Kalyan-CSMT special train on Main Line will depart from Kalyan at 2:30 am on 4th October 2026 and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai at 4:00 am.
Whereas, Panvel-CSMT special train on Harbor Line will depart from Panvel at 2:40 am on October 4, 2026 and reach CSMT at 4:00 am.
According to Central Railway, both the special suburban trains will stop at all the stations on their scheduled route, giving the participants the convenience of catching trains from their respective stations.
Railways has appealed to the marathon participants and other passengers to take maximum advantage of these special services. The operation of special services will facilitate the participants to reach CSMT before dawn and help them reach the marathon venue on time.
