Yuzvendra Chahal, one of India's well-known spinners, has announced his retirement from first-class cricket. Chahal has informed about his decision by posting on social media. Chahal has also made it clear that even though he is retiring from first-class cricket with immediate effect, he will continue to play limited overs cricket. Yuzvendra Chahal, 36, played his last first-class match for Northamptonshire at Lord's.

In first-class cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 148 wickets in 79 innings of 49 matches. In these, he has achieved the feat of taking five wickets in an innings six times. Whereas he has achieved the feat of taking four wickets in an innings eight times. His best performance in first-class cricket was 6 wickets for 44 runs in an innings. Whereas his best performance in a match has been 9 wickets for 99 runs.
Meanwhile, although my journey in red-ball cricket is over, I have not retired from ODI and T20 cricket. The hunger to play for the country is in my heart and I will try my best to make a comeback in both formats of cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal has clearly written in a post on social media while announcing his retirement.
