20.26 lakh rupees lost by dreaming of big profits in the stock market

Noida: By showing the dream of earning huge profits in the stock market, cyber thugs stole the lifetime earnings of a 62-year-old man. In the name of investment, the accused first showed profits worth lakhs of rupees on the online platform and when the victim tried to withdraw his money, they stopped the withdrawal by making new excuses. Not only this, pressure was also created to deposit additional Rs 23.44 lakh in the name of getting the money back.

Way to establish contact and trust with the company

Kaushal Dhiman, resident of Amrapali Princely Estate, Sector-76, has lodged a complaint in the cyber crime police station. He told that on September 19, 2026, he was contacted by a company named Delta TechInvest Private Limited. The company described itself as registered with Delta Securities and the Securities and Exchange Board of India. After this, there was a conversation on phone and WhatsApp with the customer care department and chief analyst Gul Tekchandani. According to the victim, initially the online trading account kept showing continuous profits. This increased confidence and he continued investing. But when it came time to withdraw the amount, sometimes money was demanded in the name of freezing the account and sometimes in the name of reactivating it. Later the withdrawal was stopped after stating that the credit score of the account was 65 percent.

Cheating of more than 20 lakhs, FIR registered

The victim deposited a total of Rs 20,26,399 between September 19 and October 20, but he got only Rs 35,000 back. Fed up with the continuous demands, the victim approached the police. An FIR was registered in the cyber crime police station on November 6. The police are now investigating the entire matter.
