Skoda Slavia facelift will be launched in the market tomorrow, but before the official launch, we have started seeing images of the upcoming sedan, and even the brochure has leaked online. While we still don’t know the official prices, it is clear that Skoda will be launching the Monte Carlo variant with the Slavia. From the details that are currently available online, here is what to expect from the updated Slavia Monte Carlo Edition.
The Monte Carlo is the top-end variant of the Slavia sedan. This means it will be loaded with premium features that the usual variants get. However, Skoda will make minor cosmetic changes to the Monte Carlo variant to differentiate it from the regular version.
For example, the front grille of the regular variant will be finished in a silver or chrome-like finish, while the Monte Carlo Edition will get an all-black grille with red sporty accents. The LED DRLs and the connecting LED bar will all be retained too. As we move to the side, the sedan will be offered with a Monte Carlo badge on the fender, and the brushed aluminium or chrome accents around the window line will also be blacked out.
The alloy wheel design on the Slavia facelift is called Savio. While the regular version gets dual-tone wheels, the Monte Carlo will get all-black 16-inch Savio Black wheels, as Skoda likes to call them. The LED tail lamps and sequential turn indicators will stay the same as the regular version, but we expect to see blacked-out treatment on the rear bumper, along with the Monte Carlo badge.
As per the details available from the leaked brochure, it looks like Skoda will be offering the Monte Carlo version in the new Cappuccino Beige, Shimla Green, Steel Grey, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, and Cherry Red dual-tone shades. Deep Black and Lava Blue will be offered as monotone shades on the Monte Carlo variant.
The Monte Carlo variant comes with features like a 360-degree camera, electric sunroof, automatic climate control, a 10.24-inch driver display with turn-by-turn navigation, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an AI assistant powered by Google, a rear-seat massager, six airbags, and 25+ safety features, among others.
While we do not have a clear image of the cabin of the Monte Carlo variant, we expect it to come with either an all-black cabin with Monte Carlo badging on the seats, headrests, and dashboard, or a dual-tone black-and-beige or tan-themed cabin with a much more elegant or upmarket feel. The all-black theme would give the car a sporty look and feel, while the dual-tone theme would give the cabin an airy feel.
Coming to the engine, the Monte Carlo Edition will be offered with both engine options. In the Monte Carlo variant, the 1.0-litre TSI engine will be offered with the new 8-speed automatic transmission only. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will come with a 7-speed DSG, as usual.
