3 new expressways will be built in UP, great news for these districts

Lucknow: To strengthen road connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, preparations are being made to build three new expressways. These projects include Meerut-Haridwar Expressway, Vindhya Expressway and Vindhya-Purvanchal Link Expressway. Their construction is expected to improve traffic in many districts and give impetus to regional development. There is a plan to purchase about 8,193 hectares of land from 651 villages for these projects.

1. Four districts benefit from Vindhya Expressway

Among the proposed projects, Vindhya Expressway will require the most land. This route will pass through Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra. For this, about 4,613.93 hectares of land will be purchased from 327 villages of these four districts. This is likely to improve road connectivity in the Vindhya region and provide convenience to people in long distance travel.

2. Travel will be easy through Meerut-Haridwar Expressway

A new expressway will be developed under the plan to connect the western part of the Ganga Expressway to Haridwar. Its route will go to Haridwar via Amroha and Bijnor. For the project, it is proposed to purchase land from 52 villages of Amroha, 108 villages of Bijnor and 24 villages of Haridwar. This can improve connectivity between Western Uttar Pradesh and Haridwar.

3. Vindhya-Purvanchal Link Expressway will also be built

The third project is Vindhya-Purvanchal Link Expressway. It aims to strengthen road connectivity between Mirzapur, Chandauli and Ghazipur area. For this, about 1,558.93 hectares of land will be purchased from a total of 140 villages in the three districts. Once the project is completed, it is expected to benefit the local people as well as commercial and cargo vehicles.

Development opportunities will increase in many districts

All three expressway projects can expand traffic facilities in different areas of Uttar Pradesh. Better road connectivity can help reduce travel time, ease freight movement and boost trade activities.
