It is believed that in the coming time, there may be a big change in both the salary and pension of the employees.
1. Pay Commission’s activity increased
The Pay Commission team has now started direct communication with various states and employee organizations. Recently, staffing problems and pay discrepancies have been discussed in detail. Important meetings are also going to be held in Delhi and other big cities in the coming days.
2. Demand for increase in fitment factor
The biggest proposal given by the employee organizations is regarding the fitment factor. Presently it is 2.57, which is being demanded to be increased to 3.83. If this proposal is accepted, there could be a big jump in the basic salary of the employees and a significant increase in the minimum wage is possible.
3. Indications of major changes in salary structure
It has also been suggested in the new pay commission that changes should be made in the calculation of salary and allowances. Under this, it is being said that the definition of family should be expanded and the method of determining dearness allowance should be made more realistic. There is also discussion of creating a new structure by combining smaller pay scales.
4. New Pay Commission expected to be implemented from 2026
According to the government plan, the recommendations of this commission may be implemented from the beginning of 2026. If this happens, there will be a big improvement in the income of employees and pensioners. This is likely to strengthen their financial position.
