Women Reservation Bill: PM Modi said, those who oppose will have to pay the price, trust the wisdom of women.

New Delhi. While speaking in the Lok Sabha on the Delimitation Bill, PM Narendra Modi said that some big moments come in the life of the nation and the state of mind of the society at that time creates a strong heritage. He said that I think these are similar moments in the history of Parliament. This was the need that arose when this idea came 25 to 30 years ago. When the need was felt, it was implemented and till today it has taken it to maturity. We have been Mother of Democracy. Ours has been a development journey of thousand years.

PM Modi said that, we are fortunate that we are getting the privilege of involving half of the country’s population in the process of making the policy of nation building. All of us MPs should not let this opportunity go. We Indians together are going to give a new direction to the country. We are going to make a meaningful effort to fill our governance system with sensitivity. The nectar that will emerge from this churning will also decide the direction of the country’s politics.

PM Modi said that I believe that developed India does not mean data related to roads, rail or infrastructure, but it also means that half of the country’s population should take part in policy making. When we meet alone, we agree that yes it is necessary, but as a friend, I want to give one advice to those who think only in political direction, which will be useful to them.

Today’s occasion is an opportunity to sit together and think in one direction and accept it with an open mind to make a developed India. Therefore, the need of the hour is that we should not delay any further. During this period, discussions were held with knowledgeable people about the Constitution and brainstorming took place. It came to light that some way had to be found so that we could combine the power of mothers and sisters.

There will be no change in the government that was in place in the past and the ratio that has been in place since that time. PM Modi said that if the word guarantee is required then I use that word also, if you talk about promise then I use that word also. If there is any word in Tamil, I say it also, because when the intention is clear then there is no need to play with words. Let us not be under any illusion, I am not talking about you and I that we are giving something to the women power of the country. This is their right and we have prevented it for many decades. Today is the opportunity to repent and get freedom from that crime.
